Match Report Press Report

Winchester 4 Lost to Totton 1 in a close match.

With the home team having higher Gradings in 5 of the strings, the match was always going to be in their favour. The away team proved the statisticians wrong though by clinching a great win.

On paper, the number 5 string should have been the closest, with only 6 ranking points separating the two players before the match. The Away player, Matthew Rivers, did well therefore to secure the win.

It was the number 5 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 81 Points ! Victory finally going to the Away Player, Matthew Rivers.

Player of the match must be the Away number 1 string, Tom Fletcher, who over-turned a 1714 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.
